Glamour on the Go!

Now that you have fun and easy outfit for any Holiday Party (see Something out of Nothing), mix it up with some festive make-up looks!
How to Create a Base for Eye Shadow:
You can buy excellent eyelid primers, but this is a simple, effective, and cheap way to achieve the same results.
1.       First moisturize. This is very important! You should always wash and moisturize your entire face before applying makeup.
2.       Now you can apply concealer and/or foundation to your entire lid, blending up to the brow. I feel that concealer provides a steadier anchor for eye shadow and a fuller coverage to hide veins and color variations.
3.       Next set the base with a translucent finishing powder or face powder to match your skin tone.
4.       Apply your makeup. You can layer and blend eye shadows to achieve rich, true colors, or keep it simple and add black eyeliner and mascara for a sheer, natural look.

How to Create a Fast Holiday Makeup Look:
Running late to that holiday party? Here are some fast ways to spice up your daytime makeup!
Golden
1.       Swipe a beige-gold across your entire eye lid, not going above the crease.
2.       Take a darker  brown and apply to the outer corner of your lid and blend into the lash line and up beyond the crease slightly. Don’t carry the brown past the center of the lid. Be sure to blend into the gold.
3.       Use a matte ivory shadow to highlight your brow bone, just underneath your brow.
4.       Because the eyes are dramatic, keep your lips simple and moisturized, applying only a balm or clear gloss.
Dramatic Red
1.       Exfoliate and moisturize your lips thoroughly.
2.       Line your lips with the color of your lipstick. This is optional, but it will keep the look crisp and prevent the color from bleeding. Although it is imperative that it match you lipstick.
3.       Apply a deep red or burgundy lipstick.
4.       Apply a clear gloss over top to finish.
5.       Keep the eyes simple; use only black eyeliner and mascara, or you can also wash the lid with a light neutral.

Romantic Purple
1.       Cover the entire lid with a medium purple, not going above the crease.
2.       Blend a dark purple into the outer corner of the lid, blending slightly above the crease.
3.       Add a shimmery light purple to the inner lid and blend.
4.       Highlight the brow bone with a matte ivory shadow.
5.       Add dark brown or black eyeliner and mascara.
6.       Apply a dab of a light, neutral pink to the center of your lips and use your finger to blend onto the rest of your lips, creating a stained effect. Coat with balm or a clear gloss.

Forgot your makeup bag? No problem, here are some tips.
·         Keep eyeliner and mascara in your purse always so that you can plump your lashes and add  a dramatic contrast to your eyes.
·         Keep oil-absorbing sheets and powder in your purse so that you can refresh your makeup.
·         Carry concealer so you can cover up any blemishes and brighten up your under eyes (Whether they’re dark from work or stray eye shadow).
·         Keep a lipstick and balm in your purse. Even if you’re wearing no make-up, lipstick can instantly take you from drab to fab!

Now that you are prepared, you can party hard!

I don't know if any of you have ever tried any cosmetics from E.L.F. (eyes lips face), but they're SUPER cheap and work really well!

And I will definitely be trying the gold shadow this holiday season! Thanks for the awesome content, and keep it up! ♥
